Organized by the Ministry of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment of the Kingdom of Morocco, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Energy Charter Secretariat, this event followed the highly successful first Rabat Energy Charter Forum held on 20-21 September 2012. As stepping stone for the Middle East and Africa to the Ministerial Conference on the International Energy Charter in The Hague on 20-21 May 2015, the Forum focused on Strengthening Cooperation and Partnership for Sustainable Energy Development in the Middle East and Africa: The Role of the International Energy Charter. This high-level event aimed at tackling challenges of achieving sustainable and affordable access to energy within the framework of regional energy cooperation, investment promotion and protection in the scope of the new International Energy Charter.
