Presentation:
The State of North Rhine-Westphalia is the number one energy state in Germany and occupies a central position in Europe in terms of the energy industry.
Located on the rivers Rhine and Ruhr, NRW has all the resources it needs in order to maintain and develop its foremost position; extensive know-how and a great number of modern energy technologies are concentrated here, as is a high level of innovative drive. Qualified specialists carry out research and work within companies and scientific research institutions: all this has turned NRW into an energy state – an energy state in the classical sense, but also with new horizons and plans for the future.
And this is how NRW wants it to stay. The declared aim of the State government is also to make the region number one in future energies.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (MWME), participates in the NATO Science for Peace Project SfP-982620, aimed at reinforcing the applied research capacities of Morocco and Mauritania as Mediterranean dialogue partner countries of NATO in developing sustainable energy technologies of the future.
